Where would Minerva be if not for Julie Brown? Personally, I don't
think there is another woman in the world that could have brought our favorite
mink to life with such an amazing, sexy voice.
Kicking around as a TV/Movie extra in the early 80's, Julie found her
true calling when she sang her first song, the hilarious "Homecoming Queen Has
a Gun" in 1985.
More songs followed, including "Because I'm A Blonde", "Ugly Girl", "Girl
Fight Tonight", and "I Like Them Big And Stupid", in which Julie really put a
finger on the pulse of the ditzy party girl of the 80's, especially in the
song "Will I Make It Through The 80's?".

But what makes Julie Brown so special? Simple, she's CRAZY!
(And totally sexy too.) Where other female comedians tried to be funny,
Julie actually was, and so much so that MTV gave her own half hour show, "Just
Say Julie!" where she beat Bevis and Butthead and MST3000 to
an early punch by poking fun and adding her own 'Minerva-like' jabs at
music videos.
Her songs are filled with unique lyrics that make you laugh, gasp,
and even roll your eyes, proving that she not only knew just what it was
to grow up girl in the 80's, but how to make it funny. Lines like "I
can't spell VW, but I have a Porsche, because I'm Blonde!", "I'm an ugly
girl, I'm gonna make you hurl!", "I want Superman with a lobotomy" and
"Shower or Suicide, what should I do?" are just a sample of the kind of
zany stuff Julie sang about.

So it was a total no brainer that Julie should be the voice
of Minerva Mink. She began doing tons of voice work over the years, and
WB had already dabbled with animating her in a Tiny Toon
Adventures mock of her show, "Just Say Julie Bruin" where she appeared as
a busty, giggling, brown bear in a garish green dress.

It almost seemed like Minerva Mink was tailored to
Julie herself, and in all truth, she was! Minerva gets her many
outfits and amazing figure from the bouncy comedian, not to mention
her almost trademarked attitude.
So, with out the infamous Julie Brown there would surely be
no Minerva, or at least not the one so many adore.
So, MMPSH would like to make this small tribute to the
woman who is just as responsible for bringing Minerva to life as was
her animators and creators, Julie Brown. (The 'White One' as she
likes to call herself.) We love ya babe, and don't ever stop being.... well, you!
